Got Poser4.03, and a gray shrugging guy.Nope, not what your thinking...I have RSR files and not Png.This has happened in both the chracter and pose libraries from two things from FreeStuff, and also from the FantasyWrape Mat pack from Daz.I tried converting the RSR to a Png, then back(in Pd3O),but that didn't help.I sit here with a gray shirt shrugging my shoulders...what to do..what to do..? You can try this. Select an item from the library and load it. Does it load properly? If no ...... then file is corrupted. If yes .... then adjust document window and re-save item to library. If that dosen't work, you may need to reinstall Poser. Sorry, that's all I can think of. Hope you get it fixed. cheers, dr geep ;=]

Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"

cheers,

geep, Thanks for the reply. Yes, they load..been using them for awhile now. I've tried several times before with the resave part, and I just got more gray guys. Only about a week ago, I reformatted my box and reinstalled all my programs..so Poser is fresh. I didn't think too much about the free stuff, but from Daz...that's installed from an EXC. file. See what I mean....strange.Thanks SWAMP

The only time I had a similar problem, it went away when I installed the 4.03 update from CL. Perhaps you could try re-installing that?

No help here, just curious that you can load but not get a new .rsr thumbnail when re-saving. Never seen that before. Do you still get correct .rsr thumbs if you save anything else in the same library folder as the problem files?

When I save to replace that annoying little man, it saves, but only an unrendered pic. And I do a nice render before hitting the +, too....? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? My resaved hairs especially are a mess---just a cloud of dots that are barely visible.

I just deleated a reply I posted while I was up late last night with the flu,hot tea and cough syurp(the good stuff).I did so because two people IM me that they were having the same problem as I,and did not understand what I was saying. So before I start in with the syurp,I'll try again. What I found was that when a period(dot) appears within the name of a folder in your library..you get no thumbnail..just the gray guy.For example the fantasy wrap installes as SS F.Wrap. When I renamed it without the dot to SS F Wrap,I got thumbnails back. This fixed my problem, and one of the people that IM me got back, and said it fixed his as well.Perhapes the dot makes Poser think that is a file extension and not a folder...I don't know, but it works. Thanks All SWAMP
