Agent Smith mentioned last week about project dogwaffle and let me say the lens flare is worth the download alone.For those of you who can't be ar... with photoshop (like myself) it looks pretty good

Personally I think lens flare is overdone. It's not something you see in reality, drawings or paintings; it's an artefact of photography.

it's neat, but it can be easily overdone. mind you, i doubt a candle would set off a lens flare in a photo.

Well, with the right lens filter and a long exposure...;)

Yeah, lens flares were (loosely) a product of older lenses, then new lenses were made to (mostly) eliminate lens flare, but then it was seen as something cool/artistic to have in your shot, so now just pop on a filter to your camera, and you'll have all the flare you can eat, lol. The Project Dogwaffle lens flare plugin is great because of its ability to be customized to such a great degree. You can build your flare however you want. It reminded me of an expensive plugin called Knoll Light Factory. I like the lens flare, but then more than not, I'm trying to make renders emulate photos. AS

Aye, the stock Photoshop Flare is pathetic, I used to use Ray Dream Studio to produce all kinds of post-production lensflare for my Bryce images. It has great controls, stock even. But more recently I've been using KPT, Kai's Power Tools, it's just as potent but allows me to keep it all inside Photoshop... It's pretty cheap, I found KPT 3, 5, and 6 at Half Price Books for guess what? Half price!
