I have a pz3 pulled from (I believe) 3D Comic Collective (back when they were around) that is based on the P4 Male. Could email it to you if you were interested.

Traveler's got the satyr legs for Vicky and Michael both in his Monster Parts pack 1 over at RDNA. Also comes with horns and some help files to texturemap your figure with fur that blends.

As JetM says, we can build a satyr... but we don't have a ready-made character. A morphable model which ranges from chubby wine-drinkers to capering kids to leering nymph-chasers to pan-pipers would be welcome. We have too many dragons and almost nothing for the entire rest of the classical bestiary. Carolly

I have a satyr character made by cobalt. It isn't in freestuff here. I haven't searched for the member name, though. Here is the readme in the ZIP: Satyr - a Poser 4 character based on the stock P4 "nude man" horns and hooves modeled in Ray Dream Studio tail and leg fur flashes modeled in Softy 3D texturemap based partially on "newfrord_texture.jpg" downloaded from renderosity.com's poser texture archive If there are any problems, contact me at: cobalt@tigerden.com This is my first poser character. -Chris Sutor* (cobalt)

Hauksdottir, speaking as a Gryphon fanatic, we can still never have too many dragons. ^_^ And, yes, I've tried making a Gryphon, but it doesn't come out right... As for a satyr, I have not tried.

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

cobalt's satyr is in 3D Commune's Free Stuff. The original link doesn't work, but scroll down through the comments to find the correct link for the download.

His files are hosted at FurNation, which had problems for a while, but the server is back online.

Here's the link to cobalt's FurNation home page:

Cool, one of these will surely do the job. Thanks! Valandar, have you seen my Sphinx? (freebie) it could pass for a sort of Gryphon. It's a winged lion/woman. (Southern Oracle from Never Ending Story) A gryphon should be fairly easy, if you have a good hawk or eagle to start from. Just glue the P4 lion back legs to the bird body. ngsmall02.gif

Creature modelers out there: a good quality poseable satyr or faun for Mike2, that is traditional (i.e. respects the classical descriptions of a faun), is something that will go IMMEDIATELY into my shopping cart. Hint, hint ;-) Orio

This is one of my charaters, Prilin, for the Alandra Project at RunTime. Made from MonsterPack1, Stephanie, and Ecstasy's Redemtion texture.

P.S. MorphWorld has an extra: Faun Tail to add too.

I'd have to agree that the monster packs are fabulous. (I no longer have mine, looooong story and it involves a computer virus). They include a psd file to add fur to the hip area of your favorite texture. I postworked the fur of course to make it fluffier and up the body. Also gives you a spider body and skeleton bone wings among other things. It's not a ready made satyr or faun but it's pretty good. Adjusting the body sizes and such will give it a more "satyr" look (then you will just need pan's flute!)
