Hi here is a project I am working on for a little while... Feel free to comment. I modeled this in lightwave..this is my first human character since I am still beginer in patch modeling. I tried box modeling as well...but somehow I find patch modeling easier to learn... The texture is not the final one it was only to run some tests. here you can view some anims: http://membres.lycos.fr/poserfreak/Untitled2.AVI http://membres.lycos.fr/poserfreak/Untitled4.AVI http://membres.lycos.fr/poserfreak/ye.AVI http://membres.lycos.fr/poserfreak/eyetest.AVI everything has been rendered in poser 4 since I am planing to setup the character in poser (maybe)

Thanks guys! Virus :I will....I promise:) hehe as soon as I have more work done! TRAVISB : Yeah...I think it might solve some issues I had with the lower part when animating...I have also a part of the body done and I am studying how to model a good hand right now... If you have any tips or tuts about hands, it is very welcome...I am using Lightwave... Question:Is box modeling suppose to be easier than patch??

"Question:Is box modeling suppose to be easier than patch?? " LOL well honestly i cant answer that at times i find one method easier for one thing while others its a complet faliure One thing for a hand you could try is making spheres for all the joints then ataching them using make ploy go in and add wrinkles etc the palm is basicly 3 rectangles with a trianlge in the center try www.fineart.sk for some refrance pics and focus on the shapes from the look of your model it shouldnt be a huge challenge for you id love to see your steps along the way and we can work on it !

*Question:Is box modeling suppose to be easier than patch??*It really depends what you're doing. For simple props and mechanical modeling, I find box modeling easier, but for organic modeling, patches are far easier.
