I recived this email today from Dawn who was leader of that incredimail group..I wrote to ask her if any of the artists whos work I represent on my site were being illegaly passed around plus gave her some advice about copyright issues.....Most of u know her group closed but she requested that I let everyone know she apologises..so here is the copy/paste of her email Lets hope she has learnt her lesson.. @@@@@@@@@@ Hello, Thank you for the email. I would just like to say that Addicted To Incredimail has been closed. I removed all members yesterday around noon time. I admit things got out of hand but I did not send any emails to any of the persons ( the artists or their friends ) in that group. I had tried to control that group but it was out of control which led me to the decision of closing it down. I do appreciate knowing about all the copyright laws, since they have been sent to me numerous times and I have read them, that's why I closed the group down because I knew some of the members we not following the copyrights. I have tried to make this right. I would greatly appreciate it if you could please send the news around that Addicted To Incredimail is now closed so I don't continue to receive emails to my personal address. I was hoping I made the right decision by closing the group. I was hoping that decision would have made the artists happy to know that their content was no longer being sent through. And now since they have no worry about their work being taken by any of the members if they could not send me anymore emails ... please. Some of the emails we're threatening and vulgar ( sent to members also ) which was understandable but not the correct way of handling this problem. Im sure since there are no longer members of the group and since the group is now closed that we all can rest assured. I have made every attempt to resolve this. I sent out a few letters to that group stating which art was allowed and which art wasn't and when an artist would write me I would add them to that list and post the list again, made rule after rule and rule. I do understand all the artists and like I said I tried making everyone happy. But in the end the only way to do so was to close the group. So in ending .... I Thank you for writing and informing me of the information you talked about. If you could please pass along the news in your forum that the group is closed I would greatly appreciate it so we all can move on with our lives and also please send my deepest apologies to the artists in your forum for any discomfort that Addicted To Incredimail or any one member of that group has caused. There will no longer be anything circulated from that group since it no longer exists. But please note, there may be some of that work in circulation but it is not coming from us since we no longer exist. Im sure if they join some of the other groups they will be able to handle this issue in that group also. Again, Thank You for contacting me so I could let someone know that we have shut down. And again, send along my apologies. Thank You Dawn

What I dont understand is why it took so long for her to figure it out. Alas, an apology is an apolgy, and is accepted from this member. However, Im wary of people who fight, fight, fight, then all of a sudden agree. One down, 300+ groups to go. along with the many many Incredimail sites Hey, I may not be able to post pics here. upload probs but I can at least do my part to protect what is here and prove useful to this community.

They did NOT close down. They changed names and started "by invitation only".

No. I just got some mail to my personal addy bragging about it, and of course the note this Dawn left, that the list was back by invitation. Btw, have you checked Yahoo just HOW many snag lists there are? Sheesh!!! :-(
