I have tried the PBoost compatibility tester in Freestuff, which gave the following message: "Sorry, but Poser library folders have been locked by Windows. This means that PBoost will not be able to switch banks, move or rename folders while Poser is running. You can still benefit from all of PBoosts functions by planning which libraries you need for a project and applying them with PBoost before running Poser." Fair enough, but I just know I'll have something in a bank I can't access, so it kinda makes the whole concept a bit redundant. So, here's my question... Is there any way to stop Windows locking a folder when it's in use? I'm running XP home edition, using NTFS.

I can answer that one :) Yes!!!! Grab a copy of CorrectReference by Howard & run it on your libraries folder, it will correct all the texture references that cause the locked folders, but prepare for a long wait cause it takes ages on a really big runtime.

ps I use XP home with NTFS & not a single lockup since using both programs :)

Thanks for the quick reply, c1rcle. Yep, I have a pretty big Runtime folder. By the way, several of the textures I use are not in the libraries at all; they're in my own graphics folder. Will this make any difference?

yeah it won't be able to find them itself, but it will list them in a seperate window so you can search for them & tell it where to look.

Unfortunately, the switch banks isn't going to work for me. I'm on win2k with FAT32 and that's the combination pboost doesn't like. And man oh man do I wish I could set up different banks.
