How do you move an figure in poser? I don't mean bend it or pose it, I mean put it in a different spot. I load a figure, then "create" another figure...and then end up like a couple of siamees twins, linked together for all eternity! :) I would like to start an image with two figures standing side by side. The docs talk alot about what happens when you move a figure...but don't say how! If it sounds like I'm new to Poser...Your RIGHT! Thanks in advance for any help!

Deancarl, The easiest way to move the 2nd figure you've added to your scene is to select Figure 2's "Body" using the pop-up selection menus, then use the "translate" tool up on the Editing Tool (near the top of your window). The translate tool is the 4-headed arrow.

The problem here is that Poser is bringing each figure in at 0 0 0 XYZ co-ordinates. You can either use the translate tool like Greg suggests, or you can select the body and use x trans - which gives you slightly better control. Paul

Someone taught me that it's best to select the figures "Hip" when doing such translations of position just in case you want to save animated poses. Apparently only the "Hip" translation get recorded by Poser. (Of course I may be wrong. It is Monday morning after all.)

The hip will work just as well, AS LONG as you dont have inverse kinetics active on any of the limbs. If you do, that hand or foot will try to stay where it is as the hip moves. Selecting "body" moves everything regardless of IK activity. Scarab

Not the world's dumbest question, I was asking that one last week. Found on the intitial loading of the characters it's easiest to choose the body and move it. Someone here also gave me the most excellent tip to name each figure as you bring it in so you know who you are moving. Have fun. =)

In truth, the worlds DUMBEST Poser question is...: "I dont want to spend the money, won't some kind person email me a copy of Poser4/poser figure/Zygote mesh?" Scarab
