I have Poser 3. Should I upgrade? If so, should I go to 4 or to 5? My current interest is in exporting to Flash but I can actually do that now using P3 and exporting as bitmaps. Do 4 and 5 export as vector? As SWF? What about the stories I've heard that P5 is extremely slow and unstable? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Best upgrade. Poser 3 is now prehistoric. If you can afford it, buy 4 now, and wait a while before buying 5 for the bugs to be got out of it.

Poser 4 itself does not have the SWF export - you'll need the ProPack in additon to that. Poser 5 comes with SWF export, and considering the price (compared to P4+PP) and feature set of P5 over P4+PP, I'd go with Poser 5 if I were you. The latest SR killed many stability issues, and once you played in the material room for an hour you wonder how you could ever live without it.
