Can anyone help me with the Bryce update patch 4.0.1, I am new to bryce and would like to know if anyone tried it and how it went.

Works fine.. no problems. Of course, I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to fix, but I usually download any official updates/patches for my programs anyway... Rosh

The main thing is corrected/updated volumetric materials plus, loads of new volumetric materials. Their site says they fixed a couple of things as well as adding (some) new feature type stuff. HTH,

Easy as pie to update. No problems here. Volume stuff rules now. The list of things it fixes are in the read-me file. Anvil

Make sure you have the Bryce 4 CD it will ask you for it.and if you don't have the CD you will have to re-install Bryce just to get version 4 back up and running. If you have the Cd it will be non-problematic. there is a new shader for the volumetric materials to get rid of the "outline" of the object it's applied to . some import and export upgrades. and new noise settings in the DTE just to name a few things. Read the read me file at MC's site and the new volumetric materials are a seperate download , they're not included with the patch. Hawkfyr
