Product Notes

This is a set of 10 .obj shapes of contrails ( 8 contrails, 1 smoketrail and 1 asteroid trail ) free for private or commercial use. Though I just converted them from native Bryce lattice objects I once made, they should work fine in any 3D application as far it can import .obj files.Please note: as this is freestuff I did not make hundreds of hours to find out best settings for Carrara, Vue or Poser. That`s completely up to you and -please- don`t ask me questions how to handle the files in your respective applications, Im sure there are some experienced users of that programs in the respective forums able to help you with any problems...The samples had been rendered in Bryce without any postwork, so I guess the files WILL work in more advanced apps as well.It is fact that the handling of objects with transparent materials can become very sensitive and tricky. For Bryce users I attached a screenshot with the appropriate settings in the Mat Lab, to get a mostly realistic look for contrails. The "additive" attribute may sometimes help to let them become more crisp and luminous, but in some situations you might want to switch it off - you`ll just have to play around with the settings like always...Have fun!
