A Mallet is two locomotives in one. Twice as nice.A large and powerful Mallet Locomotive and tender from the early 19th century. The Locomotive was done in Shade for the fun of it. Mallets were developed from a French engineer's idea for increasing the pulling power of a locomotive without destroying the tracks or derailing in curves. This is a 4-6-6-2. Mallets got bigger than this, having as many as 8 driving wheels (2-8-8-2) and outpulling even today's modern diesels several times over.The track in the picture is RK Dungeon's "Railroad" from Renderosity.The model is simple and low-poly for quick rendering. It should render looking rather dirty in Poser.
