Hello, my name is John. I'm a graduate of several Level 2 (Advanced) courses at my local community College for CAD technical illustration, and 3D modeling for graphic design and 3d printing. I'm also interested in becoming a certified Autodesk 3dsmax instructor, and have been studying 3D modeling for several years. My primary focus and interest is in exploring digital art through parametric and generative 3D modeling, geometric design, and mathematical aesthetic.
I'm passionate about 3D modeling, mesh topology, and CAD. In particular, techniques and workflow related to the creation of three-dimensional objects in virtual space, for virtual design or 3D print. I consider 3d modeling an art form, and believe technique is as important as aesthetic for producing quality models that are widely compatible, and useful for nearly any computer graphics purpose.
I hope you enjoy viewing my gallery, and using my models, and please do not hesitate to contact me to chat about design, 3D modeling, or just drop a note to say hi.

Screw Lamp***An ornate, highly detailed and complete lamp object, with optional lightbulb. This model was created to compliment any interior render, and could easily add a modernist look and feel to your arch/viz renders, or it could also work very nicely to help populate almost any scene as a secondary decor prop. The models are available as a native Max 2012 scene file (.max), and is compatible with 3dsmax 2012 or higher. They come complete with high res COLOR texture maps, and reflection blend masks for adding additional realism to the metallic parts. All textures are .jpg format, and sized to a resolution of 2048x2048; suitable for high quality, close-up rendering. The topology is cleanly modeled from 100% quadrilateral polygons (Quads), with a detailed, but optimized poly count of just 10,802 polygons, and 10,824 verts. The .max scene file includes the lamp and bulb together, but each part can be translated or manipulated separately. There are many material zones to each object, which you could customize to your liking.
