I have recently been pushing the boundaries of what is possible with the mass market consumer smartphone app called "Wombo Dream" to create machine learning generative art images, often referred to as AI Art. I am torn between photography, video making, electronic music creation, digital painting with a wacom tablet, rendering in Bryce, and using Artmatic Voyager and Artmatic Designer for otherworldly images... Not enough time for everything alas.

I have been tinkering with trying to add 3D objects to Artmatic Voyager scenes, as I have a 4Gb collection of fab 3D files to play with. After a lot of lateral thinking I have developed a workable and quite simple alternative technique to take any landscape 360 panoramic image and convert it into a HDRI probe for use in other 3D rendering software, such as Bryce. The only software needed is a recent version of Adobe Photoshop. This means any 360 pano landscape can be easily used as an IBL backdrop to enable reflective objects such as shiny spaceships to really look like they are in the landscape scene. Of course, you can use any 360 degree photo for this technique, it does not have to be a rendered Artmatic Voyager file, but I include guidance to export a suitable image from Voyager to use in this technique. Contains PDF tutorial and image file, 980kb.
