History to the P-40 with Buzz-no.284
The P-40B with Buzz-no.284 was still in a hanger undergoing repairs when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in december 1941.
In january 1942 this P-40B crashed into a side of a mountain and the pilot was killed thereby.
The P-40B was simply leave in place, then 1985 she was recovered and restored.
This P-40B is the only remaining airworthy survivor from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and she is also the oldest airworthy P-40B in the world.
