Product Notes

With the recent advent of Google Cardboard device and other VR headsets, it is possible to take a look to the virtual reality world. The tutorial explains the basic steps to create a virtual environment in Poser. The included Python script generates the images to have a cylindrical or spherical view of Poser scene. A cylindrical view is a traditional 360° panorama. A spherical view is an immersive environment that can be observed in any direction.

Hello poolofice, If I understand your question, the response is no because the script generates one set of images taken by one camera. To view the depth of the scene, we need two sets of images, one for the right eye and one for the left eye. Technically, it is complex to program and the post-processing of images is time consuming. Nice concept. Before trying this I wonder, will everything look flat or is there actual depth? Will I see if an object is closer to the camera? Also, will this work with animations? Matt

Hello tumoteo, No, you can not do that with the script. Allstereo

Can you create animations using this technique? I'd like to be able to move through the scene AND view it from any direction. Is this possible with script? Thanks, Tim
