This easy to use Iray spotlight for Daz Studio 4 has a simple morph slider in the Parameters/General/Transforms Tab to change the beam angle. Wide is -30% and narrow 100%. I have set the light to use Wattage as Luminance Units but feel free to explore other options.
The direction is pivoted from the back, use Point At or it can be parented to a camera or whatever you wish - JUST BEWARE of poke-through when parenting to hands. I set the loading position close to characters right hand.
