Product Notes

Description: The Mechanical walker is a model based on the Star Wars AT-ST Walker. I used this reference to help understand more about quad modeling and UV Map preperation for texturing. The object is 9.76mb in size. There are x8 UV textured maps as the model has been broken into ten parts. The original UV Maps are also supplied. All maps are 2048x2048. Created in Blender but not tested in other software formats. Feedback is welcome and any issues trying to import into other design software would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have the know-how on rigging but hopefully someone can achieve this. As I said this was a learning project but hopefully it can be of some use in your projects. Enjoy.

Beautiful model! Just a tip about your comment on rigging: Rigging requires that the separate moving elements of the model, such as the left and right thighs, be differentiated as groups. There are no groups in your OBJ. I'm sure it's possible to do this in Blender but I'm not familiar with the software. Still, as I said, you've built a beautifully textured model.
