I was surprised that no one seems to have made a cowlick prop for hair, so I made my own as a simple object, which I can add to any hair/character I want.
And here it is, free to use for anyone.
NOTE: It is very crude up close, but I only needed something cartoonish.

"This is an OBJ (object) only, and includes the obj and mtl files. It has no UV mapping in this iteration. It can be easily used in most 3d applications.

You are free to use this for personal and/or commercial purposes.
You may distribute this file, but do not claim it (unmodified) as your own creation.
You may modify the obj shape (other than scaling or texture/material) and then it becomes your own creation to do with as you like.

As for the 'ahoge' part of the name, it is a Japanese word that means 'stupid hair'...."
