A popular toy from the 1960's, promoting the promise of the new (but short lived) Space Age - and one of my favorite toys of childhood. Sadly, no longer available.
This is the Moon Suit, along with tools.
Poser 11 and Blender files included.
Please see readme for usage instructions.
FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY (no commercial renders unless with express permission from Mattel, Inc.)
Enjoy!

Maybe it was due to my using Poser 2014 instead of version 11, but the arms segments would not bend without dislodging, so i swapped them for a former RDNA product and a claw from an old product by Ajax. I also shrank the "armor" to roughly 90 percent as that looked a tad more "proportional" to me. Sincerely, Bill

The toy was based upon a "researched" design from the early 1960s. http://www.wildtoys.com/MoonSuit/index.asp The idea was that a suit like this would allow for much longer excursion times and provide greater protection from radiation. But the downside was the weight and the volume it consumed, making it impossible to store aboard the lunar descent module as finally constructed. Sincerely, Bill

I didn't own the toy, but I'm old enough to barely remember seeing this design of 'space suit' in something I read as a child (can't recall if it was a comic,or even in a book from the library in elementary school.... time to hit google). Thanks for the memories ^_^
