Hello Folks!
I am a professional model-builder now, but spent most of my life as a forest ecologist and person who plans for the long-term development of forests. I live high (very high - 9,000 feet) in the Central Rocky Mountains of the United States. Winter often lasts for 8 months here, so I have time to make many models. I have spent some 60 +/- years looking at oceans, rivers and streams (in addition to forests and mountains), so I like to make models of liquids and am always looking to improve my skills in that area. Models of boats should be cheap and easy for people to enjoy putting into a scene, so you'll also find some of these here and at other sites that display my models.

This model is a simple (low polygon) model of a rock jetty for the Kinneret Boat, or for any boat. It is in *.OBJ file format.
A jetty is a rock or wooden structure that extends from a beach out to the deeper water or a lake or the ocean. Boats that cannot be driven up onto a beach or rocky shore are moored or docked at a jetty in deeper water.
The Sea Of Galilee has a somewhat rocky, stoney shore all around that would be hard on a wooden boat. There are (and were) few trees in the area. So, fishermen and other types of working sailors typically built small rock jetties out into the "Sea" (actually a large lake) with which to moor their boats. This is a simple rock jetty, large enough for the Kinneret Boat. Four large bronze rings on the jetty would be used to tie up the boat.
