This little freebie is a prop of an Mbira (or Array Mbira - when made by a particular manufacturer). The Mbira, in essence, is a resonance chamber of which a number of metal tongues vibrate. The simplest version is the Jews/Jaws harp where the resonance chamber is the mouth. In this little model the resonance chamber is a wooden box and there are a seventeen brass tongues of different length that can be flicked with the thumbs.
This freebie offers 1) A prop for the instrument on its own and 2) A wearable preset to be applied to G8F which poses G8F's arms, hands, neck & head and applies the prop too. The Mbira is parented to a null node attached to the character's right hand in an effort to prevent poses from distorting the instrument. There are no morphs - it's a very simple static model.
This is my first effort at a wearable preset & I shall be interested to discover if there are extra things I need to know about them.

The arraymbira is a prop and has a data file, which is present in the zip file. It is also positioned as a wearable prop with the Arraymbira G8F Wearable file, which is also present. I cannot find a problem with the zip file I just downloaded from Renderosity. I am sorry you seem to be having a problem, but as far as I can see, the file itself is correct. Regards, Richard

Thanks, I manage to fix the out place problem, I just use your G8 pose to create a new pose of the character playing the instrument. I get the instrument prop and put in the hand of the character and create a new pose for the instrument and work fine.

Hello Richardandtarcy first, I wan to say tanks for your work, I was testing different freebies I download and I get 3 error from this one, first 2 are texture related. The granary folder with all the textures is outside of the ChestnutP folder by merging the granary folder with the one inside of chestnutp fix the problem the other one, is related to the Arraymbira attachment node I change the name of the folder and the dsf file in it, and the error stop showing, the character get in the pose of holding the instrument the instrument is out of the character hand, can be move to the correct position. Again tanks for your work and this really nice prop.

I've been told this instrument is also known by the name 'Kalimba'. As I had never heard of either name or even known it was a thing until 2 weeks ago, I shall go with the flow.
