Product Notes
This is DAZ Studio script to take a pose that has been applied to a G2F Character and transfer it to a G8F character. It means you can re-use existing poses languishing in the content library with a more recent character.
To operate, load in G2F, apply the pose you want to transfer. Then load G8F, and run the script. As with my other pose transfer scripts, you will need to select G8F's hip and also G2F's hip. Having done that, press the 'Accept' button and G8F will take a pose close to the G2F pose. It won't be exact, as the script can't get around all the figure generational differences. The pose should need not much more tweaking than if you applied a G8F base pose to a G8F character. This pose transfer script adjusts all the limbs & digits, eyes, pectorals and lower jaw. It does not transfer across any more of the face rig to the G8F character as the two face rigs don't seem very compatible with each other - eg the default G2F tongue position is out of limits for G8F.

Thank you for the script, it is really very useful! I still use G2F a lot (it may sound odd, but it is my favorite base figure) If I may suggest, a modification could allow to pre-load the Hip nodes in the combo boxes (if the two figures are selected in the scene) for some extra convenience. I put the code I came up with in this link : https://next.argeneum.com/nextcloud/index.php/s/CM98m38gPxjKajG I believe it can work for the other scripts as well (just changing the names of the figures as needed), but I did not test that.

I am glad it may be useful. I get the feeling that Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are used rather less than V4 and G3/G8. However, if there is useful content languishing unused, it would make sense to get it working again.
