Product Notes

I'm delighted to present to you a 1940's style shirt dress and belt I've modeled in Hexagon, inspired by a 1943 pattern I found on Etsy. It has 4 different colors, 1 tweed, 1 linen, and 2 cotton.

And now the caveats. The buttons can get a bit warped if the pose is extreme (or even if it isn't!) - I haven't found a decent way in dforce to make it not warp them other than set up a modifier weight node but that means the dress sticks to G8F's body in those places. It is what it is, people.

Also, to get the maximum realism and reduce blow ups, I included simulation settings over 30 frames, with frame 0 being the zero pose and frame 30 being the final pose.

Only includes the dress, belt, textures and simulation settings; car, scene, hair, models not included. Enjoy!

This is wonderful! I don't suppose you'd consider creating a cap sleeve version, like this: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0264/4030/2685/products/yellow-1950s-swing-808829_600x600@2x.jpg?v=1618387834 Thank you for your generosity and creativity!

@pcyren_782 - they're different objects in the mesh. I tried having them as an add on similar to how I did the corset but they didn't move with the dress properly. I'm going to check out the link from Sea80 though, and see how Chris Cox does it!

Thank you very much for the dress! Perhaps if you made the buttons as separate objects, they would not deform under dforce and extreme poses.

Oooh NICE ,,,,two thumbs up!

You can check out Chris Cox about how to deal with buttons. He streams on twitch, has a store here and at Fantasy Attic and has a discord server. Message me if you want a link. By the way, like the look of the dress, will give it a go and hope it don't explode as you suggest lol
