Generally speaking a beginner's tutorial series for making clothing for our 3D models.
I'm using Daz Studio, Genesis base figures, a modeller and an image editor.
In this first part we will take look at exporting out a basic figure which can be used for modelling clothing mesh on: Making a new uvset: Making "skin clothing."
If anybody wants some of the UV maps for 'groups' and 'materials' for G8.1F, G8 or G9 => those will be available here as a separate download.
Some features are found only in Daz Studio however there may be parts of interest for those using other programs.

Yes, uvmapping in Hexagon, as one PA put it, is an exercise in patience. One can uvmap in Hexagon however if one has any other options, one may wish to use those. For some projects I prefer using 3DCoat, some use Blender, some use uvmapping utilities, and so forth.

Ok, I didn't realized the "islands" I was looking for were, right you said it, flattened against the bottom edge of the checker template, and had to be picked out, after zooming in 10x, and knowing where the place the seams to unfold appears an art...

Thank-you so much for taking time to put these tutorials together. I am, however, lost beyond recovery between "slapping on a uv map" and unfolding, and could use a pointer or two.
