Lynx Render Studio is a fast rendering project for Daz3D products. It is a software that allows for easy and efficient loading and viewing of models, as well as high-resolution rendered images in a few seconds. Our program is currently under development, and plans for project enhancements include increasing the quality and fidelity of materials, pose and animation management, video rendering, advanced lighting and environment settings, post-processing effects...
Lynx Render Studio Free is the free version of our simple and fast rendering software. With Lynx Render Studio Free you can load models from the Daz3D platform for easy viewing and rendering. This free version has the rendering resolution locked to Full HD (1080p), higher resolutions (2K, 4K and 8K) are reserved for the Professional version of the program. The pose editing menu is also only available in that paid version.

We're sorry but we don't have a Mac edition at the moment. Unity allows exporting to this platform but currently we don't even have a Mac device to test it on. We will add this option in the future if the project gets support on our Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/LynxRenderStudio

Concerning the minimum requirements, we have not yet been able to perform the necessary tests to be able to establish them properly (after all, we are still in beta version). In theory, as a Unity application it should run on Windows 7 and later, although this always depends on the system, drivers, processor, memory, graphic card, etc. Also, the program is highly dependent on the amount and complexity of the elements loaded. It might work correctly on one system for certain simple models and crash with more complex ones. Our advice is to test the free version with several models, it is the best way to check and make sure that it works correctly on your computer. We also advise you to reduce the window size if you find that the program runs slow or hangs (this resizing will not affect the rendering).

@SirRonmit I don't think you have to worry about your specs. I am running an older laptop with a GTX 1050 and only 2GB VRAM. Getting the app to run was not a problem, it was nice & responsive. If you get the chance, maybe post the results of your tests over at the thread I started in the freestuff forum? https://www.renderosity.com/forums/threads/2983949/lynx-render-studio @lynxrenderstudio Glad to see you here. THANKS FOR THIS TOOL! I can't wait to see where you take it.

I'm looking forward to testing. I'm not seeing min. specs. off the top of my head (but I'm also trying to look from a work PC during lunch). I just upgraded my dual GTX960's to a single RTX3060. My main render machine is offline WIN 7 64-bit, but I do have a WIN10 and WIN11 to test the software out and report back in.

We are very happy about your interest in Lynx Render Studio. As you say, we have just launched the first version of the project and our releases are very recent, but we will continue to develop our program to include many improvements and new features. Your description of Lynx Render Studio is very accurate. It is practically impossible to achieve the photometric quality of lRay with graphics engines like Unity, but our next update is focused on increasing the visual quality and correcting material issues. We hope to add improvements to our software beyond simple rendering, from animation and video rendering to interactive models, physics and customisable environments, but it will take time to implement all these improvements. We see Lynx Render Studio as an additional tool to Daz, opening up new possibilities where Daz can't reach. Thanks for trying Lynx Render Studio, we hope you get good results on those images!

Ok, this looks really interesting. I visited their YouTube channel and watched the videos. I was a little suspicious at first since there doesn't seem to be much info about who is behind this. But it seems like this is a real thing. Briefly, they built a simple render environment in Unity, which can then use the Daz-to-Unity bridge to transfer over complete models. It's very basic right now - pretty much just loading models and loading poses. But the rendering is crazy fast compared to IRay, more on par with Filament in terms of speed. Quality is not quite IRay level but certainly much better than Filament. I'm going to give it a go! I'll post some images in my gallery. Thanks Lynx Render Studio!
