VEX, V.ulva EX.tended, a complex rerig of the DAZ Anatomical Elements for Genesis 8/8.1 Female. Bones have been added and carefully weighted for a great variety of complex shapes not reasonably possible with morphs - and these can be mixed freely with a modest selection of included morphs to give you a vast array of customization options. Since the base mesh is the original DAZ Anatomical Elements, the UV map is the same, and any textures or morphs you might already have should work without any changes necessary.

you many not redistribute the contents of this package. so yes that means you can't include the contents in a 3d game, renders are fine.

The making a shader preset did the trick. I am learning Daz so it took a bit for me to figure it out. Thanks for your help. Can this be used in interactive (game with 3d models) or is it just for making images?

Make sure you have the correct figure and material group selected; also be aware that DAZ|Studio saves the figure name into a material preset when you create it, unless you manually exclude it, there is a good chance this is your problem since the name of this figure is (should be) "VEX G8F". If I remember correctly this setting is included with the "Geometry\UV Maps" property block. The simplest and safest thing to do is, load whatever figure you have those textures/shaders working correctly on, and select the figure+material in the Surfaces tab, and saves it as a SHADER preset (not Material) and this will automatically exclude whatever the specific figure name is and allow you to load it onto a foreign figure e.g. mine. Also, my figure will load with the default UVmap; some texture sets may not be using this UV map, but instead use the alternate UVmap (low detail) and this may be a little more difficult, because I again, believe the UVmap property block includes the figure name. I'm not sure if you can simply rename my figure to match the DAZ original figure name but you might try that as well. Please let me know if none of these works, I'll try to help you get it working.

Is there a trick to get uvs to work with G8F textures? I can use the textures with the anatomical elements from daz. However when I try to apply them to vex it stays grey.

This particular item is exactly the kind of thing DAZ would never distribute themselves lol

It seems really cool and im interested in anatomy upgrades. I wonder if going through daz as a creator for it would help you with licensure and maybe even get you some proprietary tool access. You have cool poses and wearables. Im positive if you put something up for the platinum club with what youve made and reached out to someone they might be able to get you somewhere. Looks like you put a lot of work in, but its a little confusing for boyo here.

It should go without saying, but if you take it upon yourself to search your own sources for any of the third party items referenced here, I have no control over what you may find. If you can't get these specific URLs described here to work for whatever reason, you are free to not use this item.

RTEJava requires Java Runtime Environment in some form, the main source for this is Oracle Systems: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp If you install JRE and then are not able to get RTEJava.jar to run I have no advice for you, sorry

I don't foresee any case in which I'd start working with G9, the figure is a big step backwards in various technical ways that make it harder to produce content for.

This add-on is excellent! Thank you so much for this. Would love to see one for G9 as well. For those people concerned about the decryption proggie being on Geocities, be sure to have NoScript installed in your browser before visiting to avoid the notifications prompt and the redirect. I don't think they make any particular difference in this case, but I also run Privacy Badger and U-Block Origin as a standard practice. You can't be too careful out there.

Yeah you would think there would be some modern alternative but there doesn't seem to be!

It has been a while since I have seen an rte file on the wild...
pjz99 8:27PM | Thu, 09 November 2023
Because this is a modification of a licensed mesh and I can't legally just pass it around, if you're not comfortable using this method to unpack it then don't use it.

There a reason you put it in some weird encoded format and not a standard .zip .rar .7z or whatever? Because using some random software is super sketch

Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Decoder link takes me to a Geocities site that makes me jump hoops to enter...then the download link tries to open a site marked as "unsafe"...no can do.
