In this .pdf tutorial I go over some mesh editing ideas, etc. as we take a look at making clothing from an .obj that was exported out of Marvelous Designer for another figure. There are a number of new meshes becoming available over at ArtStation: some are for Genesis figures, some are not. Some will work well, some will work if one can edit them to work, and others work not so well. I like this top, it's free so everybody can get one and follow along.
There is one thing that one comes to appreciate rather quickly when learning how to make 3D products and that is the great prices to get ready made stuff available in all our favourite haunts ;-)

While I use Hexagon, one can use the modeller of their choice for editing mesh.
