This was inspired by DAZ forum member Fishtales for navigating around UltraScenery landscapes.
UltraScenery is slow to navigate because you usually pan the camera. Panning is slow, especially with the new 256m square USC2 landscapes. This prop sets up arrays of columns at 20m intervals over your UltraScenery scene. You can then click on an appropriate column, press "
There is a single column at X=0 and Z=0, then there are 20m interval arrays covering the original 64m USC1, 128m USC2 and 256m square USC2 landscapes. The columns have a 3m square co-ordinate platform at the top of the column. The co-ordinate shows distance from the origin in X and Z.
I suggest you select the array, then press "

UltraScenery is simply the best landscape generator I've come across for DS. Definitely worth getting used to if you can. The way to move around UltraScenery original is not easy and going to the 256m square landscape of UltraScenery2 makes the navigation problem considerably more difficult. Hence the need for something like this prop.

Well, thank you! This may encourage me to try Ultrascenery again after many years of letting it just lay around in a partition somewhere.

Just noticed, the text I typed for the key press has been interpreted wrongly by the browser, everywhere it says "F", please read "Ctrl-F" (for PC) or "Cmd-F" (for Mac).

I must admit I really wish I'd been the one to think it up, rather than imagine a way to take it to an extreme. I do hope it's useful for lots of people. I know I'm going to be using it for most of my UltraScenery scenes from now on. I wish someone much cleverer than I could have come up with it ages ago. Regards, Richard.
