This is basically a stack of four books as a Poser figure.
Each book can be adjusted (within limits) and morphed independently.
Individual books can be swapped between hardbacks and paperbacks, and between right-way-up and upside down.
Figures can be stacked one atop another to create precarious Seussian towers - the limits mentioned just above are to help prevent them becoming too ridiculous.
*** WARNING: DO NOT USE POSER'S BUILT-IN 'DELETE FIGURE' WITH THE 'DELETE ATTACHED' OPTION CHECKED FOR STACKS OF 40+ BOOKS AS THIS CAN LOCK POSER UP FOR LITERALLY HOURS AS POSER TRIES TO SAVE UNDO DATA FOR MULTIPLY NESTED FIGURES, ! uSE THE INCLUDED 'DELETE LINKED' HELPER SCRIPT
Created in Poser Pro 2014. Tested in PP2014 and Poser 6 under Windows 10.
For further information, suggestions on how to make the most of them, and feedback please see the associated topic on the FreeStuff forum

The updated scripts in the HW forum work fine in P13. I just tried them.

Fixed versions of the two scripts MarianneR identified now uploaded to post #136 on my HiveWire3D development topic - link to that is in the fourth post of the associated topic for this freebie in the Renderosity FreeStuff forum (see link for that in the description above)

Thanks for the feedback MarianneR - I'll have to reprimand my QA person (i.e. myself) because I know about that one and thought I'd corrected them. It looks as if I also forgot to add the 'more expanation to go here' ! ;o)

Fun! I tried a few scripts in Poser 13, and they failed because of the print statements. In Python 3 there needs to be () around the text to be printed like this: print("Text"). I changed that and then they worked. I didn't try all the choices though, so I can't guarantee that all the rest works. The scripts I tried were RandomizeBookStack and ResetBookStack.

Constructive feedback, whether good or bad, is always appreciated. I'd particularly like to know whether these work for other people in versions of Poser other than 6 and PP2014, and whether everything works on a Mac.

Thanks Molly. I'll be adding information to the associated topic in the FreeStuff forum (link in the description above) over the next few days. The warning about deletion was, I thought, the most important thing to point out in the limited length description that Renderosity allows here. But since I'm typing here it's a good chance to mention a couple of other things: - Since adjusting each book of a large stack individually is impractical I've included a set of PoserPython scripts to randomize, reset and change materials for all books in the selected stack. - I wrote the python scripts for Poser 11 and earlier and I'm not sure whether they'll work in Poser 12+ - I keep getting Poser crashes whenI try to use these in Poser 11. I'm not sure whether something's got corrupted in my Poser installation or whether there's an actual problem

This is really cool. Thanks for the tip about using the deletion script rather than the delete figure command for large groups. =) Molly
