Description
No, I don't see anyone in here either. The title refers to the spirit, or soul, whatever you want to call it. While in some ways it seems to be glowing and vibrant, all is illusion. It is shrinking, dimming, vanishing as we watch. Buried under piles of words, actions, thoughts, and unthoughts it withers, struggling to survive in a world of no sense. The Valium age is alive and well, maintaining a semblance of normality. "My, how does he remain so calm", they say. He smiles and nods and turns away. Life goes on.
There's a TV show on now where people are auditioning to play with INXS. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when I told my kids I was going down to Boston to audition for Limp Bizkit, who was looking for a new guitarist at the time. That was good for all kinds of interesting discussions.

Beautiful image and thought-provoking commentary, Jack. I see the body finally in subjection to the spirit..which is glowing and growing more vibrant as the physical man/body shrinks and eventually dies a mortal death. Certainly an interp heavily influenced by my own beliefs and not representative of your social commentary ("Valium Age"), which is- unfortuantely, too true. In any event, this is an inspiring image to me. Love the sense of movement, colors and light.

Excellent mystical look, those outer lines look painted, a bit like Dali's moustache as well... interesting statement - maybe it's our struggle against nonsense that's important. History tells us it's always been there. The true unstoppable force...?

Interesting point that your words convey. The image, for me, shows a lovely representation of hope while your words express a certain disillusioned attitude. Are we just fooling ourselves that "things" are going to be alright, or do we change the course of things by being positive. Truthfully, I am not sure. I could go on, but then I would just be rambling in my own thoughts. Thanks for the thought opening contrast, I will be reflecting for awhile now.

Paraatman...a real I amid the contentious little "I's"..self?...not self?...questions beneath a tree...the war ensues... All I see makes me question any collective evolution...but perhaps spirit womholes in a migration outside linear time...one's future lessons may be among the "apparent" past...One's consciousness is all one can truly attend too..
