Description

A variation on a render posted in Cath's original Stonhenge thread in the Product Showcase forum. (you can also check out this other Stonhenge thread here) Doing some IBL & node experimentation as we move towards realism. This was done with: - Default "Sunny Day" IBL & SunLight set (2 lights) with a custom Lightprobe included in the updated Stonhenge set, and a spec only probelight for the eyes. - "Hyperreal M3" shader, along with.. - My own custom shader beta I'm playing with. P6 Render with no postwork(though I would love to contrast tweak in PS), as later postworked studies will have before & afters to show render with & w/o post. Of course my goal is achieving what is in my head straight from P6, & figuring the path to get there.

This looks really great. And full points for not postworking. The highlight on his forehead is yellowed off a little, so it looks like there is a fraction too much light in the scene - maybe backing off the main light intensity by 10% would do the trick. Also, for the main light - it looks like you are using r/traced shadows - that shadow on his left shoulder from his head would look awesome with a little blur (maybe 5 or 10 on the blur dial). Great pose and expression.
