The sample apollo model from Max, done without textures using HRDome style global lighting. Just an experiment :)

Great job :) I'm sure a lot of work went into this. Just curious; why not use a bump map for some of the smaller extrusions and panels? Again, it looks fantastic.

Beats me :) I didn't model it... it ships with Max :) Seriously, I would personally almost certainly model panel lines and so on - I tend to use a lot of different camera distances during animations and I find that bump maps don't always hold up well when the scale changes radically. Of course, I might just be doing them wrong.

I think voodoo should ask Frank Delise (the guy who did the model) about that bump map thing.I just see one problem with tha picture.The shadow under the Apollo.Looks a little strange there.
