Hi, thanks for the comments. I am not from the US so maybe I m loosing something here... The only reason for posting the image was that I like it; I dont know if it can have some special significance for religious people. And, BTW, it says that you are blessed if you read it. Doesent mean necessarily that you are doomed if you dont.

Hahaha, good point Alvaretto. Still, I know some people that this image might set off. I wonder if THC will be by here...hmmmm. ;] But I do love the image for the quality of the photo, the sense of motion and mood is wonderful.

well i see it as life on the street, not everything has to be antagonizing or taken with some deeper meaning.. like a documentary shot... luv the movement in your current series :]

Yep, definitely a controversial caption. I've gone to a private Baptist college before, and even there my New Testament professor admitted that there are now other, newer Bibles with 1) translations into several other languages and 2) a far more accurate translation from the original texts than that of the King James version. Interesting shot though.

No controversy whatever. We all have free will and are entitled to our opinions... doesn't guarantee an audience, but anyone can have an opinion on anything. Even crackpots. It's a good image. A very good image of a very complex city.

I guess you have never lived in the 'Bible belt' like I have. there are whole communities, and denominations that condemn ANY OTHER VERSION OF THE HOLY BIBLE, and any one who reads any other version as well (FYI)... mainly in the south eastern United States.(and YES, I thank God that HE does not condemn other versions)Personally i like the way the New International Version reads, but I supose that some may condemn me for that. I think even in New York we have some of those factions there that are narrow in thier view. Now if I were in one of those factions, and brain washed enough, I would be prancing the streets with a sign like the one above. read the real small print on his placard. If you know the culture where this poor man is coming from, you would be sad for him, not getting argumentative. These are the same ROOTS that the snake handlers (in Churchs) come from. Go figure! And of course I think it is a great photo with lots of motion, capturing the city life, it's diversity, and it's controversy. Thanks for allowing me to express a little of the American culture that some times we try to hide from the rest of the world. (boy did I get myself in deep)... I have not been known for political correctness...:o)

I was not here for a few weeks. I can see that religious may be something really controversial. But I will say it again (shouting, hehe): THIS PICTURE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION!!!! It is just an interesting character (photographically speaking) of whom I took a photo.
