Welcome to Dreamer's Wish Studios. I am Beth Carroll. Many of you know me as "Newpy". Years ago, a friend of mine suggested I visit Renderosity and I have been here ever since. I became interested in the many forms of art shown here and have come to know many fine artists. I have been blessed with many friendships. Some of them, I am sad to say are no longer with us for one reason or another. They and their artwork are greatly missed.
I work mainly with Fractals and Photography, but I also work with Poser. I have dabbled also with Terragen, Vue, and some mixed media.
I hope as you browse my gallery that you will be inspired to try some of these forms of art. I am always learning and I would love to hear your opinion. I would also like to thank my friends here at Renderosity for your friendships and encouragement. I have watched many of you grow in your artwork and I have been inspired. I am grateful for the many artists willing to give their input. I look forward to many more years here looking at marvelous works.

The best suggestion I can give you on the water is to use the tutorial I use which was by Dotthy. It's truely a terrific one, and I combined with another which helped me on water. the terrain looks great, :) as does the atmosphere.

That is a really different granite look, almost like dirty snow, haven't seen it before.

Amazingly beautiful, Beth! Like the POV and light! Not sure about the blending of the rocks with the sky... a great job though! hugz

Cool pov & great atmosphere and the stronger lighting helps to bring the colours out more in your surfaces. The cloud formations are really excellent here! The water could be a little darker perhaps; one thing I sometimes do is to put a single black surface layer with the max altitude sharply limited to the water level, then play around with the fractal noise setting to vary the effect.

Beth, the sky and water are so well matched! Love the atmospher, and your terrian has a unique roughness that gives it tremendous realism. (=
