I walked so long
in the valley of grief
eyes looking through
the shades of colour blue
sang every sad song I knew.
I closed my eyes.
Suddenly from the depth
one strong pull
and across the air

Effectively mediates the idea: wings curling in the pressures of rushing air...I have never seen wings any redder than those...keep going...

Such a passionate, headlong image to very effectively illustrate [and extend] the words of the poem. btw possible typo: should it read 'my name on the welcome flag'?

It looks for me like lights reflected on the polished surface of an old cadillac. Very dynamic and impressive colours.
