Description

This was the largest Joshua Tree that I saw during our trip, I found it at one of the rest stops on the way to the race track so for now this will be my last pic of these strange but interesting trees. It was about 35 feet tall and one of its branches had broken off. Hope you all enjoy!! Again, Thank you for your comments!! I wish to thank you all ahead of time for viewing my postings; I just hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy wandering and using my camera! Thanks for taking a peek and commenting

I agreee that this is the best photo from your Joshua trees. Here is the same: Firs, sitka spruce, chestnut trees and so on.

A look at the scorched sand tells of a tortured existence. That they survive and grow so big is truly amazing. I wonder how old it is.

Strange but interesting - that's exactly what those trees are. And I had no idea they are that tall - must be quite something to see one up close. Another fine specimen!

Not much choice in the lighting when you only stop for a few minutes at a rest area but it seems to have turned out good, thanks for all of you wonderful comments on these strange but beautiful trees.
