Description

For Johannes(WonderfulCreation) (Okay Pascale, time to right click!Sorry another pano!) Hi everyone. This is the view from the standing stones at Tomnaverie,in Scotland,(as seen in my second to last upload). If you stand in the middle of the circle this is what you see just west of there. It was raining,(what a surprise), so that's why the sky is so dark. But the colors were amazing.I can't tell you enough how incredibly beautiful every view in Scotland seemed to be.The colors of that country...wow! All I did was a little tweaking with levels and contours.I didn't touch the saturation or hues at all.And in all honesty this is not a 'true' pano because I only cropped it.A slight cheat, I know. I want to dedicate this to a new friend of mine who has also been to Scotland recently.Johannes,(WonderfulCreation) was very helpful to me before I took my trip and offered some very valuable advice. His lovely images of Scotland were inspiring to me and I urge you to visit his gallery if you have not already had the pleasure. So,I hope you like it.Your response to my recent pics has been soooo encouraging.Thank you all for your much appreciated time and support!-Marlene (EDIT)-I resized this picture because it seems a number of you couldn't open it.I personally don't like the way it looks at this size.Eventually I can put it back though.Just wanted those of you who were kind enough to tell me about this issue to be able to see it.Thank you for telling me!

Ooooh, youre gonna get in os much trouble with Pascale over this one, LOL. She just hates to scroll it seems, LOL. Anyway...WOOOOW!!! Gorgeous panorama Marlene. It just hit me...this is just further proof of how beautiful Scotland really is. Its so beautiful that the view never seems to fit in one shot alone. Thats why both you and me ensists on posting panoramas, LOL. Oooops, just read back and saw that this isnt a "true" pano..well nevertheless its GORGEOUS!!! Its getting late it seems, me entering "ramble-mode". Have a great day #:O)

usually the rule to photography in colour is more oe less "wait for the sun". But, as you know, each rule has its own exceptions. In this case it is "unless in UK, where you have to wait for the rain. It is easier." (LOL). This gave you some wonderfull colours, well saturated, that helps the rythmn on three plans of that photo.

Beautiful lush green paddocks. Love those lines, I guess these are due to the paddocks having been bailed recently. Gorgeous landscape Marlene

Beautiful !!!! Wow!! I can almost smell the fresh rain in the air. Love the little sheep sprinkled here, sprinkled there! :-) Oooh a poem..lol The red of the roof, the blue mountains, and that dark sky all make this even more dramatic! Fantastic! VOTE :-)

These panoramas are just spectacular. I like the long, winding hedges and green pastures - so scenic and beautiful. What a wonderful view. The cloud dipping down on the left frames the shot so nicely. Gorgeous work, Marlene!

This verse from a song by The Levellers seems to say everything necessary... "I get the strangest feeling In the air around It's more than just a feeling A different way of seeing A different kind of life Something I believe in" I have stood in a few circles and felt the ghosts of times past dance around and through me, it is indeed a different way of seeing.

Gee, it only took four attempts to upload and give me the comment box! Oh boy! but it was worth all the efforts my dear Marlene. The setting reminds me of a van Gogh painting, though the colours are very different, it is the setting. Love the sheep off on the right side and the well manicured landscape. Thank you for sharing your vacation with us.
