Description

Take your basic oil-soaked spiked projectile, attach it to the hook. Ignite the projectile and then pull the rope, which releases the pin that holds the arm, by means of a chain. The weight now rapidly descends, pulling the flaming projectile. At it's zenith, the flaming projectile is thrown free of the hook and hurls skyward, towards the enemy. Reload and repeat as needed.

It's even got little rubber sucker feet to keep it stuck to the ground. Bless. But what if the chain gets caught in the spikes? Could backfire. :)
