Description
Another pic with eagles. This one has a volumetric atmosphere and GI. Don' t go there !! This took 83 hours to render at superior setting!
Next time I' ll just tweak a "normal" atmosphere.
Still, I think the lighting came out quite well...
Thanks for looking, comments welcome as usual.
Cheers
Andy.

Yeah, the lighting came out quite well. Damned good i would want to add here. A superb one. The rendering is maybe a little long but it was worth waiting i would say.

Beyond excellent. This is rich. You have the same attitude I do about volumetrics and GI in Vue, but I have to agree with wabe, this was/is worth the wait. Chech out the new beta patch if you're running V5 Infinite. It helps a bit.

It was worth every minute. Just an amazing play with the lights.

Wonderful work. As the others commented, the rendering time paid off: the atmosphere of the picture is truly stunning.

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. Looks very convincing to me and was worth the long render time. :)

I agree with Alexander !

Wonderful composition and lighting! I guess that render time would make me think twice before trying a volumetric atmosphere and GI but the result does look superb... My solution would be to buy a second computer so you've got something to work with whilst the other one is rendering :)

Wow. Way to go on the light effects and color tones. Fine work.
