Description
The Temple of the Warriors, taken from the top of the Temple of Kukulcan in Chichen Itza, Mexico. If anyone can remind me the significance of the order and number of the columns, I would appreciate it; there is a meaning to their placement, but I can't remember it now.
Taken with a Sony digital that, unfortunately, was dying when we were visiting this beautiful area. I was lucky enough to manipulate the camera enough to get a few shots (including the shot taken of the Temple of Kukulcan posted a while back) before the light sensor chip went totally kaflooee.

NEAT! Quite a view from up there, I can imagine the climb was killer. I've been to some Mayan Temples, but not Chichen Itza yet. It is certainly on my list and this image makes me want to go even more.

Oh yeah! It was a climb, alright! And, since I suffer from vertigo, the trip down was a killer! But, I don't know what it is, when I have a camera on my shoulder or around my neck, I become this decrepit ol' risk-taker, and the vertigo seems to go away for those brief moments between snapping the picture or shooting the video.

Lovely shot. Reminds me that I simply must visit mesoamerica sometime soon...

An excellent perspective and surprising is that there is not a single soul to be found. My type of get-away.

There are a couple of teeny tiny people on the left side of the frame.
