Description

A female prehistoric dragon (Drago Antiqua) patrolling her territory. Vue and Poser - no postwork. Just a project I've been playing with, inspired by the Animal Planet special about Dragons. Comments welcome - thanks for Vueing.

Great! Nice job with the ground texture. I've had a hard time getting the ground to look right from this height and perspective.

Thanks, regaltwo! I was actually experimenting with some new textures packs I had downloaded. The effect in this image was achieved by using a displacement map to mix the terrains. There's a tutorial on doing it somewhere, if you've never tried it, but I can't remember where. Also, Vue 5 Infinite always crashes the first time I try to load a displacement map.

Well, I'd be very interested in a tut about using displacemnt mapping in Vue, since it's been agreed that it's not possible to do that in Vue.
