Description

I was at a clients house and the dog was staring intently at a bush where faint chirping was comeing from. I investigated and found this little guy. He must have fallen out of the nest cause dad was hanging out on the fence nearby tring to show him how to fly away. The poor baby did not even have his tail feathers yet so he had difficulties. No way to know if he made it out alive or not. But I did my best to get him out of harms way without makeing things worse. DID I DO THE RIGHT THING OR SHOULD I HAVE JUST LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE WHICH WOULD HAVE MEANT DEATH FOR THE BABY? comments are very much apprieciated.

Oh! Poor baby, I think I would have taken him home, but you did the right thing. I hope he made it!

turns out, a great many chicks fall from the nest, and the parents care for them in places like the bush you found this guy in. if you saw the adult male, the chick was well cared for. if there are cats around, the chick most likely won't make it.

No cats around that I know of just the pups that live there but I was carefull to keep them diverted from the bird.
