Description

Fun, fun, fun!!! I was taking a break from work yesterday and found a really cool spot way up on a hill over looking town. Very fun area with lots of different trees, rocks, and lighting. I was taking some vista shots when I looked down and saw this, amazing display of mixed pinecones and wood. Several of the pinecones were old, had no color, and surrounded by old wood, which made me think B&W. But it just wasn't quite right. At first I tried keeping the color on a single bottom left cone, because it had the most definition, but then the comp was off. That's when I decided to pick these three, they were the next most colorful, and it paid off! I love it! I hope you do too! More to come! Have a great day!

I love it greatly! An absolutely superb composition. The tone and texture are delightful and the selective colouring adds an enormous amount of snap to the image! Well done indeed! V

YAAAAAAAY!!!! Wow, Kim this is awesome!!! Selective colouring has sure gotten to be a really popular technique and you mastered it completely in this one. Amazing how beautiful something as simple as that turned out. Great job for sure. Do you paint a layermask when you do these? ooops...rambling again..sorry about that. Have a wonderful day #:O)

A beautiful capture of these pinecones. Somehow, the arrangement of these reminds me that Christmas is getting near again. Excellent Job. Aloha
