Description

The text accompanying yesterdays photo seems to have misled some of you into thinking it was the last image in the Lofoten series - but no - far from it; I've probably got 20+ pictures still to come :) In todays picture I've just started on a long walk; unintentionally long I might add. I had arranged to be picked up by a car at the end of my walk, but I didn't get there in the estimated time, and my mobile phone didn't work there - so I had to walk back towards home until I finally got a signal... By then I had walked well over 30km on a hot summer day. Upon returning home, a cold beer tasted like a piece of heaven. The small river in the foreground of this image is one of the few on the islands where you can fish salmon. Although it's a small river, you can catch salmons well over 10kgs there. The river then flows into a basin containing sea water. It's connected to the sea through a narrow opening where the tide creates a salty river changing directions depending on the tide. The area in the middle of the picture is mostly dry during low tide. The mountain in the background is called Offers

Good lord this is magnificent! So very pristine and sheer! I can almost feel the icy cold river water between my toes! Superb image and composition! Well done indeed!

GORGEOUS!!! Soooo beautiful. Excellent compo, would have been absolutely perfect if it had not been for that red barn or whatever it is. Stands out a little too much in my opinion. Have a great day #:O)

Those yellow flowers add a bit of sunshine to the otherwise overcast day. I like that little bit of snow you can see in the distance too. Beautiful POV.
