Good job capturing the floresent glow. When I tried similar shots the picture was blue not purple. I'm also impressed with the sharpness. Did you manually focus or auto focus? My auto focus had a really hard time with the jellyfish because of the glow they didnt have very distinct sharp outlines.

TNVWBOY: Auto focus was used, but with nebulous subject matter I have to place the focus zone on the edge of the object for focusing, then recompose at that setting for the snap. Also had to wait for the jellyfish to be still for a moment in the dim light. As for the color, my D100 was in auto WB mode. No post work on color or sharpness.

ooohh, that's really neat! I love it...although I wouldn't want to meet up with him in the water!

This image really pulls me in - the simplicity of it is quite appealing. My only wish is that you'd not chosen to use the 'centered' sort of approach to it; i've seen other images in your gallery where you chose to be 'un-centered' and i feel that would have suited this image just as well. Aside from that minor thing, this is a fantastic vision. Thank you for sharing!
