Description

James Doohan 1920-2005 Goodbye, Scotty. "One to beam up." Painter and Wacom tablet. Starfield created with Universe. Very sad, I thought this would help, but it didn't. I'm glad I did it, anyway. I was blessed to have a conversation with Mr. Doohan once in Chattanooga for about 30 minutes after a autograph session at an electronics store, while he was waiting for a Limo to take him to a Sci-fi Con. He was promoting Star Trek II, dressed like this and was very gracious to a silly fan. Thanks for looking, John

Well done and appreciated. He was a man of grace and humor. I met him at a sci-fi con after a panel where we did an impromptu wild accent bit of Star Trek with a bunch of people. He was a funny man who was down to Earth and will be missed by the people who met him. Thank you.

Thank you for this breathtaking tribute to James, it causes me tears. I'm very sad about the loss of such an icon, such a great heartily man - not only as Star Trek Fan since my childhood. May the stars welcome their old friend with open arms.

Like Montgomery Scott's beloved Enterprise... Mr. Doohan is now free to roam the stars at warp speed. Good-bye, smooth sailing and Godspeed, sir.

One of very few actors who truly appreciated his fans. I met him briefly many years ago, but did not have the chance to speak with him. Convention security was desperatly trying to get him away from me and the 40,000 other people he wanted to hang out and talk with. You've done an outstanding job of capturing him here.
