Very good work, especially for a first post (much better than my first time, I'll tell ya!). I love that you took the time to do a cover mock up instead of just posting yet another girl picture. That alone takes this from yawn to wow! The logo is GREAT really captures the right feel for this publication. A little stylish with just a hint of trashy mens magazine thrown in. You also did an excellent job of matching the font color to the cloth colors. It creates a nice sense of unity. Also, kudos on the simple white text for the stories (and I laughed out loud at Prude vs. Nude love it!). After all this praise, I hope you arent expecting me dump on the pin-up itself. I like her, but I dont love her. The pose is a trifle akward and the direction shes facing is a bit off. Im wondering if it wouldnt be better to have her face the camera and do a coquettish over-the-shoulder flirt, or to have her looking more directly to our right. As it is, it just seems not quite right. The only semi-major quibble I have is with the lighting on the face and hair. The rest of the body is illumited okay (nothing dramatic, but still even and enough shadows to show off her contours and shapely form). But in a pin-up, a brighter light is typically used on the face (evena simple glamour lighting band on the eyes would help). Also, maybe a little more light might bring a little more luster to her hair. That being said, I do love the choice of clothing (or lack of it, yummy!). And the feathering on the hair is fantastic! Did you do that in post or with a trans map? Either way, kudos on a job well done. Whew! I didnt mean to go on so long, but I really felt inspired. Great job, and Im looking forward to seeing more posts! Bravo!

I like this a lot, and would have to agree it is quite well done particularly for a first post. I think Mitchell is correct regarding the head position; a bit more of a twist and a tilt would speak volumes.

Mitchell, Thanks for very constructive comments. Pose was intended as I love her tushee:-), More of a candid shot then outright photo shoot. Lighting is a tough concept for this newbie, but I'm learning. The hair is transmap, the postwork involved the shoulder area and just under her chin. Tim

Great work, I think it is just right! Thank you for remembering Vargas. If a magazine like this existed I would buy it!
