Another picture of the viewer-favorite CB&Q E9 from the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami. I've become increasingly convinced this unit was one of the Burlington Northern E-units used by Metra, the Chicago area commuter service. The number. 9913, was a BN commuter E-unit, and the red light, just below the headlamp was a feature peculiar to those units. If so, I

So nice to see this later E unit. It looks like it has all roller bearings and no plain journals. Very excellent interpretation of the jargon in the configuration by you, too. Does one call this truck an A-1-A or is the center axle also driven?
