Description

Ireland, c. 1919. The Great War took many things but his father was not a "thing." His father was everything. People told him the pain would go away. His siblings and mother seemed to manage fine. His pain, though, did not leave him, not through his life nor through eternity. - - - - - - - The little boy and grass were rendered using Poser. Background rendered using Terragen. In order to give this a 1930s watercolour feel, I painted over a lot of the composition using Photoshop. I hope you like it. Comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you for looking! So sad for his pain... hope, though, that the pain WILL eventualy leave him, when he's ready for it... eternity is a long 'time'!

You have captured this Emotinal event beautifuly. Boys expression and Pose tell the Story perfectly, Wonderful background, colorful, but not to take away from the boys expression of memories.

This really does look like a watercolor and an excellent style choice because to me the blur is like a wash of tears -very well done - what I like the most is the emotion you've captured - losing someone you love is a pain one carries forever. CC
