Nice start. Maybe some little points. When you use a higher rendering setting you probably get longer rendering times but much better quality of the renderer. This looks a little grainy. The ship looks a little flying in the air, maybe you van check that again. And the palm tree is in the water, not veryx natural i would say. But to repeat it, good start. Keep them coming.

Thank you, wabe, for your nice comments and good critique. May I ask, do you just render again and again to get a better quality render. I did a final render and I don't think I've seen a place to increase it. I tried several times to put that darn tree into the rock, but it wouldn't go. I think I may try this same image tomorrow. Excellent work for a newbie! Looks better then anything I could do when I was new at it. It takes a while to get use to all the vue can do. The more you play with it the more you will find. Excellent composition Ruthee!
